Purpose. The BHRC Protection Management System (PMS) is used to manage human-rights related cases and activities. Your personal data will be used to create and administer your account and enable role-based access.
Personal Data Collected. Full name, nickname, office, position, email, SI/Employee ID, contact number, profile photo (optional), system metadata (e.g., IP, timestamps), and activity logs.
Legal Basis. Processing is necessary for the performance of BHRC’s mandate and functions, and is undertaken in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and applicable BHRC policies.
Use and Disclosure. Data is used for authentication, authorization, audit logs, case work, and internal reporting. External disclosures occur only when legally required or with proper authority.
Data Security. BHRC employs administrative, physical, and technical safeguards (e.g., access control, encryption at rest/in transit where applicable, and audit trails). Users must keep credentials confidential.
Data Retention. Account and log records are retained as required for operations, audit, or legal compliance, and securely deleted or anonymized thereafter per BHRC retention schedules.
Your Rights. You may request access, correction, and—where applicable—withdrawal of consent, subject to legal and operational limitations. Contact the BHRC DPO/FOI desk for requests.
User Responsibilities.
- Use the PMS only for authorized, official BHRC functions.
- Do not share accounts or disclose case-sensitive information to unauthorized persons.
- Report suspected incidents or breaches immediately to the system administrator.
- Comply with BHRC Acceptable Use Policy and confidentiality requirements.
